The Orgo was founded by Keerthika Shankar, starting with a simple observation from her own kitchen in Villupuram, Tamil Nadu: the healthiest foods she knew weren't in a supplement aisle — they were the ones her grandmother already made. Ragi malt for growing bones. Kavuni kanji for a lighter stomach. Nendram banana powder for a baby's first food. Moringa podi stirred into idli and dosa without anyone knowing they were getting their iron for the day.

Somewhere along the way, modern shelves filled up with sugar, preservatives, and shortcuts, and these traditional foods quietly disappeared from daily routines. Keerthika started The Orgo to bring them back — made the same honest way her family always made them, but packaged for a family that doesn't have time to soak, grind, and roast every morning.
