It has a mild to medium spice level — authentic South Indian taste. If you prefer less spice use smaller quantity mixed with more oil or ghee.

Yes! Great for children above 3 years. For younger children reduce quantity to half teaspoon mixed well with ghee & rice.

Q: What oil to mix with?

Sesame oil (gingelly oil) is the traditional & most authentic choice. Ghee also works beautifully for a richer flavour.

Our standard recipe does not contain garlic or onion making it suitable for all dietary preferences including Jain diet.
